At Lightmoor View Care Home in Telford, activity coordinator Sam is always on the lookout for new and exciting entertainment ideas. Music has always been a hit at Lightmoor view, lifting spirits and sparking wonderful memories.
Recently, Sam saw an advert on TikTok about a care home hosting a rave, and it was a huge success! Inspired by this, she decided to give it a try on Friday, 21st March, coinciding with Red Nose Day for some extra fun.
The rave was a massive hit! One resident, who is deaf, loved feeling the vibrations of the loud music and joined in the dancing. The vibrant streamers, flashing lights, and glow stick accessories added to the excitement.
One lady from the enablement unit, who had never attended a rave before, wondered if she'd be out late. She was thrilled to tell her daughter that she had been to a rave in her 90s!
