Nancy Frost had long been part of the Greenfields family. She first came to know the home through her husband, who lived on the Snowdrop unit until his passing in March 2023.
Even after his loss, Nancy remained a familiar and welcome presence - joining coffee mornings, sharing conversations, and often staying on for lunch among friends. She was someone who brought warmth wherever she went.
As her health began to decline, Nancy chose to return to Greenfields for periods of respite, a place she fondly regarded as her home from home. In July 2025, following her diagnosis, she made the decision to stay for her final months, surrounded by the comfort, care, and familiar faces she knew so well.
Nancy’s wishes were simple and deeply personal. She asked for her ashes to rest in the garden at Greenfields, without a plaque. In her memory, an Acer tree has been planted - a living tribute that will grow and change with the seasons, just as her presence has left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Beside it rests her goose, a quiet symbol of her life and spirit.
Nancy will always be remembered by everyone at Greenfields - not only for the time she spent with us, but for the humour, kindness, and gentle joy she brought into the home.
