Greenfields Care Home is proud to announce the opening of its brand new Bluebell Unit, a thoughtfully designed space created to enhance life for residents living with dementia.
The development forms an important part of Coverage Care’s Dementia Strategy, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to providing the highest standard of dementia support across Shropshire.
Coverage Care has long held a mature and well established dementia strategy, but remains dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation. In 2025, the organisation launched a new two year plan with a clear ambition: to become the leading care provider in Shropshire for people living with dementia. Central to this work is a Ten Point Action Plan, ensuring dementia care remains a core focus across every aspect of the service.
To ensure the Bluebell Unit truly reflects the needs and preferences of those who will use it, a committee made up of residents and their families was formed. Their lived experience, insight, and ideas played a vital role in shaping the look, feel, and functionality of the new environment.
