Briarfields residential care home were absolutely delighted to welcome ESOL (English speakers of other languages) students from Shrewsbury College to our home for two very special visits.
The time spent together was truly uplifting. Residents and students chatted, shared stories, played games, and learned about each other’s cultures. Watching those genuine connections form across generations was something really special.
Our residents loved every moment - the laughter, the conversations, the energy, and the joy filled the home from start to finish. Experiences like this bring so much positivity and stimulation to daily life, and it was clear just how much it meant to everyone involved.
A huge thank you to the students and their teacher for bringing such kindness, enthusiasm, and warmth into Briarfields. It was an amazing experience, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!
