At Coverage Cares Greenfields care home in Whitchurch, one man’s devotion has blossomed into a sanctuary of peace and joy.
Chris Kinder became part of the Greenfields family in July 2017 when his beloved wife Pauline moved into the Bluebell Unit. Following her passing in January 2024, Chris chose to stay connected in the most beautiful way—by lovingly adopting the residents’ garden.
Through his generous donations of plants and tireless care, Chris has transformed the space into a vibrant haven that now brings comfort and delight to residents throughout the summer months. His dedication is a living tribute to Pauline and a shining example of the impact volunteers can have on our homes and hearts.
Chris’s story is just one of many that highlight the power of community and compassion. At Coverage Care, we are proud to celebrate our volunteers—every gesture, every hour, every smile makes a difference.
🌼 If you feel inspired and would like to make a meaningful contribution, our volunteering programme can connect you with a Coverage Care home near you. Whether it’s gardening, companionship, or sharing a skill, your time could brighten someone’s day.
