Last week, Briarfields in Belle Vue, Shrewsbury officially opened their stunning new Anniversary Garden — a name lovingly chosen by our wonderful residents — while also celebrating Coverage Care’s 30th anniversary!
Over the last few months, the garden has been completely transformed, thanks to the incredible support of residents, volunteers, and generous businesses who all chipped in to help. The result is a beautiful, welcoming space that reflects the heart of our community.
One of the standout features of the new garden is its sustainable landscaping. We are always looking at better ways to improve our carbon footprint in any project we do and all investment into our home improvements is now carried out using greener alternatives. The groundworks include permeable surfaces designed to help manage rainwater run-off and prevent flooding. These surfaces act as a buffer, allowing rainwater to slowly seep into the ground, reducing pressure on the drainage system and helping water evaporate naturally back into the air.
The celebration was filled with: Live music an outdoor bar a delicious BBQ with beef burgers, hot dogs, and a variety of pasta and salads
It was fantastic to see so many people — residents, staff, friends, and family — come together to mark this special occasion. The support and togetherness truly made the day unforgettable.
