Non‑Executive Leadership

A senior leader with over 20 years’ experience across the NHS and higher education, I bring extensive board‑level expertise in governance, people and culture, and organisational transformation. I have served as a Non‑Executive Director at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and South Western Ambulance Service, where I was recognised for “insightful challenge and meaningful assurance” drawn from data, staff insight and visible engagement.

People, Culture and Inclusion

I specialise in workforce strategy, cultural improvement and equity. At Salisbury, I chaired the People and Culture Committee, contributing to significant improvements in organisational culture and the experience of internationally educated colleagues. I also chair a regional workstream supporting Midlands Trusts to strengthen belonging and retention for minority ethnic students and staff.

Academic and Professional Leadership

As Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Birmingham City University, I lead large‑scale workforce and inclusion initiatives and shape values‑led leadership across the institution. A registered mental health nurse and Midlands resident, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work.
