What is respite care?
There may be times when you or the people supporting you at home (carers) need a holiday or recognise you would benefit from a period of time where you can be supported in a care home. The care home will need to be able to meet your needs but a short break often enables your carers to manage supporting you at home for a longer period of time.
Our approach to respite care
A number of our homes offer respite care and once you have contacted our homes to discuss your needs and times of stay we will work with you to provide a re-assuring service.
A respite stay is often a valuable opportunity for people who are beginning to consider longer term care.
We encourage you to try out our services and then consider if longer term support may be needed at a time of your choosing and dependent on your health and well-being.
