Wealways aim to provide the service wanted and needed by those who come to stay in our homes, so the service that is proposed and then agreed with the individual (or as appropriate their representative) is always based on a comprehensive assessment of needs.

We provide the following “core” services:-

  • Residential Care
Is for those who may need help with washing, dressing and getting around. Residential care may also be suitable for people living with dementia. Care and support is provided by care staff (not nursing ) but additional care is provided by local GP and district nursing team(s).
  • Nursing Care
Is for those requiring additional care supervised by a qualified nursing team. The additional needs may be derived from a physical condition or as a result of confusion and dementia, where care is delivered separately with staff trained to support those additional needs.
  • Dementia Care
Dementia care can be provided in residential or nursing homes depending upon the level of dementia needs. Our staff are trained to understand the care needed by people with dementia and offer additional support.
  • Respite Care (Short stay)
This may be suitable following a hospital stay, a period of being unwell or to give you and your carer a break.
  • Palliative Care
It is vital everyone gets the right support at this important and sensitive time. Our caring and compassionate staff can offer support to you and your family. We are proud of our links with specialist providers and staff delivering this care have been additionally trained.

In addition we are increasingly working with the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and the hospital and community NHS Trusts in order to support people who have been in hospital but who are not yet able to return home.

These stays, often referred to as re-ablement stays, are based on an agreement with the individual, the CCG and the home which sets out the time it is expected to take for the individual to be able to return home.

As we get to know the individual better we will be able to provide further advice regarding your return home. We take pride in remaining available to support you.
