Greenfields opens doors for National Care Home Open Day

Greenfields care home in Whitchurch is inviting members of the community to join residents for National Care Home Open Day on Friday, June 16.

The care home, operated by Coverage Care Services, will be opening its doors and inviting members of the community to join residents for a coffee morning and tour around the facilities.

Carolyn King, activities co-ordinator at Greenfields said, “We are delighted to be opening our doors and welcoming interested parties to join us on National Care Home Open Day. The aim of the day is for them to see what we do and have the chance to chat with staff and residents in an informal setting over a cup of tea or coffee.

“We’ll be starting at 10.30am and will be able to show people around until noon. We shall then take a break for lunch, and re open the doors from 2pm until 4pm in the afternoon.”

National Care Home Open Day is run by a group of care providers and associations and has been organised so care providers can demonstrate the quality of care and service which exists in caring for older people. This is the fifth year since its conception.

Greenfields is owned and operated by Coverage Care Services Limited, which currently operates 14 care homes in Shropshire on a not for profit basis.
