A Shropshire care home has received another glowing endorsement of its services following an unannounced visit from care watchdogs.
Innage Grange in Bridgnorth retained its ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is the same as it received at inspections in 2017 and 2015.
A team of specialists visited the home on June 29 and spoke to residents, staff and relatives for an assessment to find out how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led it was.
The recently published official report said staff were kind, caring and compassionate and supported residents to have maximum choice and control of their lives.
Well-trained staff worked with other agencies to provide a joined up and effective approach to people’s care and support and the home had an open and inclusive environment, it added.
Innage Grange one of 14 homes operated in the county by the not-for-profit organisation Coverage Care, Shropshire’s largest independent care provider.
It is home to up to 83 people and can provide nursing care as well as dementia and palliative care.
Coverage Care Chief Executive David Coull said: “This report is yet another positive endorsement of the quality service that is being provided at Innage Grange and demonstrates our commitment to provide a high standard of person-centered care in a home from home environment.
“It was particularly gratifying to see the inspectors recognise how well cared for residents feel and that staff are trained to a particularly high standard to deliver the level of care that we at Coverage Care always strive to give.”
Manager Liam Palmer added: “I am extremely proud of our team and I am pleased that their hard work and caring attitudes have been recognised by the inspectors.
“From our viewpoint, the most important feedback is that of our residents and it was great to read some of the lovely comments that they made to the inspection team about how happy and well cared for they felt and how much they enjoyed living at Innage Grange.”
