‘Blooming’ great win for Coverage Care home

Staff and residents at a Market Drayton care home are feeling ‘blooming’ great after scooping one of the top awards in the town’s annual floral competition.

Coverage Care’s Woodcroft home in Croft Way took first place in the Best Small Business category of the Market Drayton in Bloom competition.

Woodcroft, which has residential and specialist dementia units as well as a day care centre, enters the competition every year, thanks to the green fingers of groundsman Ron Dykes.

Relief assistant manager Kieran Bennett said Ron’s hard work was at the root of the home’s success.

“We are absolutely delighted to have won and it’s all down to Ron’s hard work. He keeps the grounds looking fabulous all year round and this year it has been recognised by the judges.”

“The floral displays he creates really brighten up the home for residents and visitors alike. The certificate will have pride of place in the home.”
