Situated in the market town of Oswestry, Fairholme offers a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment you enter.
The home has 40 individual bedrooms and service users are welcome to bring as many of their own possessions that the limits of space will allow to personalise their room.
Fairholme has easily accessed garden areas for the service user’s enjoyment, with some raised beds, a water feature, wooden sculptures and a barbeque.
The Home is in close proximity to a local school and Fairholme has successfully built links with them so that the pupils come on occasions to do performances for entertainment and do art work to display on our walls for the service user’s enjoyment.
Activities are important in the life of Fairholme and service users are consulted on a regular basis to see what different activities they would like to try next! A recent addition is a monthly trip to a tea dance which has proved very popular. We also have an activities coordinator who visits twice weekly.
The food is cooked in the Homes' own kitchen and the Catering Manager has been awarded a Platinum Healthy Eating Award. Relatives and friends are welcome to share a meal if they wish.
We have regular visits from a hairdresser and a beauty therapist.
Fairholme also has a Day Centre which is operated Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This provides a range of activities including crafts, quizzes and cooking, as well as a three course lunch. Day Centre service users can also have assistance with a bath if requested.
