Situated within walking distance of the local shops Barclay Gardens is part of a purpose built care complex and has 40 bedrooms providing care for older people and older people with dementia.
Our philosophy at Barclay Gardens is that this is your home and we provide individually tailored care and always welcome your relatives and friends. We always listen to our service users and many ideas are incorporated into how we run the home.
We have a guest suite which is available for you to book for any visiting friends or relatives.
The gardens are available for all to enjoy with easy access to all of its areas.
Our Catering Manager has been awarded the Gold Healthy Eating Award, which is no surprise to the residents at Barclay Gardens who all enjoy the home cooked meals and of course if you need a special diet we can provide that. We also have a restaurant which caters for families and visiting relatives that you can book; also an ideal option to book for that special celebration with your family and friends.
Although we do not provide nursing care, district nurses and community psychiatric nurses visit regularly as well as local doctors. We can offer appointments with local chiropodists, opticians and other therapists.
We also offer a hairdressing service three times a week at a small extra charge.
We have accessible gardens for all to enjoy, with seating around the courtyard area and raised flowerbeds to enable any service users to continue with their love of gardening should they wish to.
