





World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Coverage Care highlights World Elder Abuse Awareness day. World Elder Abuse Awareness day is on 15th June 2011 and the call is to wear something purple for the day.
Across Shropshire Coverage Care’s homes and services will be taking part in a series of events ranging from a purple coffee morning at Fairholme and Westlands to Wimbledon at Stone House where the strawberries and Pimms will be flowing before residents take part in tennis games!
Central Office will also be getting into the spirit by wearing something purple.
At Coton Hill House there will be a coffee morning and a film night In the evening.
Briarfields is going purple all day throughout the home with dress and even food!
Barclay Gardens has had an ongoing raffle which will be drawn on the day, followed in the afternoon with entertainment from singer Paulo Pinto and in the evening there will be tea parties on each individual unit for everyone to enjoy.
At Greenfields there will be an afternoon tea party, Innage Grange in Bridgnorth is holding a coffee afternoon followed by a film.
Woodcroft is holding a cheese and wine party for service users and relatives in the evening.
Coverage Care at Home, the domiciliary agency that operates in Telford and Shrewsbury, has run a competition inviting people in no more than 150 words, to tell us how all generations in our society can really put into practice the term 'respect your elders!'
Coverage Care Services operates Homes in Shrewsbury, Telford, Bishop’s Castle, Wem, Market Drayton, Oswestry, Bridgnorth and Whitchurch all on a not for profit basis meaning that any surplus in funds is put back into the service it provides.
