The second annual Shropshire Partners in Care Award ceremony took place on Saturday 2nd February. There were two hundred and thirty nominations to recognise achievements of individual staff and also group awards.

Of these Coverage Care  had seven individual staff nominees and Coton Hill House  as a whole was nominated for service user involvement and Coverage Care for Care Business of the Year, which is an amazing achievement.

Having reached the finals in eight of the eleven categories Coverage Care was delighted to have won the following six titles.

Tanya Brown  Residential Carer of the Year
Amy Hutchings Manager of the Year
Lin Jay  Nurse of the Year
Hayley Chapman Learner of the Year

Coverage Care Company of the Year

Well done also to Les Simpson, Karen Goode and Coton Hill House who did extremely well to reach the finals.
It is a fantastic achievement to have been identified by a panel of entirely independent judges to be one of the top three out of a long list of over 130 nominations, I very much doubt the Oscars get such a long list!!

Very well done to everyone involved, the winners, the short-listed and of course those who were nominated.

Des Kelly OBE, Executive Director of the National Care Forum paid tribute to the "Amazing Achievement" of Coverage Care by willing 6 out of the 11 awards.
