Lightmoor View

Lightmoor View is a new style of nursing home, designed specifically for older people with special requirements arising from dementia. The facilities in the home and the standards of care place Lightmoor View amongst the best available.

Each of the 75 en-suite rooms is laid out in a simple but attractive style, with themed soft furnishings and the latest equipment to improve the care for our residents.

We place great importance on the health and wellbeing of all our residents. Everything is done to ensure residents remain healthy by eating well and they are encouraged to take an active interest in their personal hygiene and wellbeing, assisted by our qualified staff.

Communal living areas, lounges, quiet zones and gardens, are laid out as individual and memorable areas, designed to be welcoming and familiar. Lightmoor View has six individual wings on three levels, with easy access via secure door entry systems and lifts.

Lightmoor View is designed to be a home from home. Family and friends are encouraged to visit as frequently as they like, enjoying the facilities in the home and joining the staff and other residents at social events.

Enquiries are welcome from older people or their families who believe that Lightmoor View may be the perfect place for their long-term nursing needs. To check for availability, suitability and potential financial arrangements, please speak to one of our care advisors.

Good Companions

Everyone living, visiting and working at Lightmoor View can genuinely feel that they are amongst friends. Residents can decide where and how they spend much of their time. For the more outgoing, there are plenty of activities to share with others. For the more reserved, time can be divided between their own private room and the quieter areas of the home, although everyone is encouraged to join together for meals and community activities.

The home has its own hairdressing salon, visiting chiropodist and physiotherapist. Newspapers and magazines are available throughout the home, with stationery supplies and postage stamps available for sale. We have a wide selection of books and board games for our residents to enjoy. Residents also have access to telephones and the internet as required.

Religious services are held within the home on a weekly basis, with individual arrangements made for other faiths and denominations. Family celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions are actively encouraged. Our staff will gladly help you to organise your special event.
