Stimulating activities At Farcroft we offer a varied programme of events. We have a monthly meal out we have recently been to Apley Arms for lunch. We have theatre trips booked, activities on a daily basis, bingo for residents and another one with their families. We have two Extend qualified staff who lead exercises with our service users twice weekly. We take residents shopping and also on holiday to Blackpool last year, we also have family teas every other month. We can also offer head massage and a manicurist. Local ministers visit and we can arrange transport to your local church.

Well-being
Although we don’t provide nursing care at Farcroft, district nurses and community psychiatric nurses visit regularly as well as local doctors, who also provide emergency cover.

We do offer appointments with the local chiropodist, optician, dentist, physiotherapist and occupational therapist and run two gentle exercise classes weekly. Our hairdresser comes to our salon once a week.

We hold regular residents’ meetings and encourage everyone to share their ideas for the home.

Choice of nourishing food
We offer tempting, freshly-cooked meals, catering for all dietary needs. Our Chef has recently won the gold healthy eating catering award of which we are all very proud. We’re also flexible about meal times – just let us know! To see sample menu, please click here.

Our gardens offer safe, attractive and accessible environment for everyone, comprising of patio areas, raised flowerbeds and seating areas in attractive, enclosed courtyards.

Along with a copy of our terms and conditions, you are given a formal contract detailing what is included in your payments.
