Our Company

Company History

Coverage Care was formed in 1995 and is an Industrial and Provident Society operating independently.

Coverage Care is a non-profit taking company, which means that every penny of any surplus of income over expenditure is re-invested in its services and development.

The Company is managed by  an experienced Executive Team,  and a Board of Directors who guide the strategic direction of the company.

The Company employs  more than 550 people, including care staff, support workers, administrative staff and managers.

Coverage Care was formed to accept the transfer of Shropshire  County Council’s residential care services for elderly people. Its  first task was to completely refurbish the properties from which the services are provided, and then to establish and develop the highest standards of care through strong training programmes for its staff and focus on the care needs of its service users.

Since the company  opened its first home, it has concentrated on providing residential , nursing care and domiciliary services, along with a wide range of community support services,  meals on wheels and good neighbour services to many of the outlying rural communities in Shropshire.
