| Shrewsbury home welcomes new manager |
|
Nic joined the Belle Vue home as a volunteer for 2 weeks in October 1999 before he moved to the NHS, but quickly realised that the care sector was for him. Nic said, “ After 2 days at Briarfields, I just knew this was the right career for me, I submitted an application form which was accepted and I was appointed as a care assistant.” Nic’s love of his role was clear and with the right training and qualifications he quickly became a relief assistant manager in 2001 becoming a part- time assistant manager and then deputy manager in 2006. Nic added, “Coverage Care has encouraged and supported me through all my training. In 2001 I completed my NVQ 2 in care in 8 weeks, I then completed a Level 4 NEBS management course that was followed by the Registered Managers Award and Health and Social Care Level 4. In the future I hope to continue my studies at Level 5. “ Chief Executive David Coull said, “The dedication, time and effort Nic has put into every role at Briarfields has been highly commendable. Everyone at Coverage Care welcomes him into his new role and wishes him the best of luck at Briarfields.” Nic concluded, “I’m really looking forward to every aspect of my new role. We have a busy summer ahead working with the Belle Vue Arts Festival and organising our summer fete. The residents are using their gardening knowledge to help sell our growing plant selection and we also have a new decked area with an extended garden patch and raised salad garden for everyone to enjoy.” For more information on Coverage Care and Briarfields please contact the central office on 01743 283200 or visit www.coveragecareservices.co.uk ![]() Nic Harding left is congratulated by David Coull, Chief Executive Coverage Care. |
