‘Coverage Care Coraclers’ join the race
Coverage Care based in Shrewsbury, is the latest company to join the world’s only coracle race held on the River Severn on the 6th June 2008 with all sponsorship being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Coverage Care offers quality independent care for the elderly from 15 care centres around the county. Taking part in the annual coracle race are employees from Coton Hill House residential home, Sherrie Leonard and Mandy Philips and Scott Griffiths and Nic Harding from Brairfields residential home in Belle View.

Chief Executive David Coull said,” Coverage Care are looking forward to raising money for the Macmillan Cancer Support. We have a justgiving page for online donations and our homes will be participating in other fundraising activities. It’s a brilliant way for local companies to come together, raise money for charity and be part of the only coracle race in the world!“

Macmillan fundraising manager Ann- Marie Davies said, “We have had a brilliant response to the race this year. We have 48 teams taking part and are now having to put other teams on a waiting list, I would just like to thank everyone for their continued support.”
