The service is designed around people. It reflects the needs and aspirations of the people who may use the facility, their families, carers and friends. We recognise that not everyone’s needs are the same and we strive to ensure that the service meets individual needs wherever possible. The aim of Barleyfield House is to: - To provide short term care in a relaxing and caring environment for adults with a learning disability.
- To establish community links and understanding of local community facilities as appropriate to the individual.
- To provide a service aimed at equality for those with an associated degree of physical disability.
- To enable the individual to expand their capabilities, expectations and experiences within a safe environment.
- We strive to ensure compatibility of the people who access our service, therefore we are not able to offer respite to people who require intensive behavioural support.
