Training and development
We have a robust training programme in place which allows employees to fulfil their potential and should they wish, progress through the company.
We have a dedicated full time training officer, who is also a qualified Assessor and Internal Verifier and who co-ordinates all company training and development programmes. All our care workers complete mandatory training and are trained to a minimum of NVQ2.
Coverage Care is undertaking an apprenticeship programme.
Apprentices will:
- Complete the Coverage Care induction programme.
- Learn about work ethics, managing finances and support the transition to work.
- Communication and application of number.
- Complete the Technical Certificate - Preparing to Work in Social Care.
Our Apprentices work independently, but supervised, with our service users, delivering support for a variety of activities including personal care, eating and drinking, encouraging independence, positive risk assessment and maintaining independence. The Apprentice will also have the benefit of an experienced mentor.
